Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and ecommerce-savvy Shopify Store Assistant to support the daily operations of online stores. In this role, you will assist with managing Shopify product listings, processing orders, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring smooth store performance.
The ideal candidate understands how ecommerce stores operate, is comfortable working with Shopify or similar platforms, and can handle both backend store tasks and basic customer support. You should be organized, proactive, and capable of maintaining accuracy while working in a fast-paced online retail environment.
As a Shopify Store Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring products are properly listed, orders are processed efficiently, and customers receive a seamless shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Shopify Store Management
- Upload, edit, and manage product listings in Shopify, including titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and variants.
- Ensure all product pages are accurate, complete, and optimized for customer experience.
- Organize products into correct collections and categories.
- Update inventory levels and monitor stock availability.
- Apply discounts, promo codes, and pricing updates as instructed.
Order Processing & Fulfillment Support
- Process incoming orders and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Verify customer details, payment status, and shipping information.
- Coordinate with fulfillment teams, suppliers, or dropshipping partners.
- Track shipments and provide updates to customers when needed.
- Handle order modifications, cancellations, and replacements.
Customer Support Assistance
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, or Shopify inbox.
- Assist customers with order status, shipping updates, returns, and refunds.
- Provide product information and basic troubleshooting support.
- Escalate complex customer issues to senior support or management.
Store Operations Support
- Monitor store performance and report issues or inconsistencies.
- Assist in launching new products, collections, or promotions.
- Ensure store design elements and product pages remain updated.
- Support marketing campaigns by updating banners, discounts, and landing pages.
Returns & Refunds Management
- Process return requests, exchanges, and refund approvals based on store policies.
- Investigate missing, delayed, or damaged orders.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to resolve delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all return and refund transactions.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory updates, and customer interactions.
- Generate daily or weekly reports on store activity and performance.
- Track common customer issues and report trends to management.
- Document store procedures and workflow updates.
Requirements
Technical Requirements
- Laptop or desktop computer with updated operating system.
- Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps recommended).
- Backup internet connection or power source preferred.
- Quiet and organized home workspace.
Work Requirements
- Ability to work independently in a remote ecommerce environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or peak sales periods if required.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in ecommerce, Shopify management, customer service, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify is highly preferred.
