Job Overview
We are looking for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Social Media Virtual Assistant to support brands in managing and growing their online presence. In this role, you will assist with content scheduling, audience engagement, basic content creation, and social media performance tracking across multiple platforms.
The ideal candidate understands how social media platforms work, can follow brand guidelines, and is comfortable handling both creative and administrative tasks. You should be proactive in engaging audiences, staying updated with trends, and ensuring consistent posting and brand visibility.
As a Social Media Virtual Assistant, you will play a key role in helping businesses build awareness, increase engagement, and maintain a consistent online presence.
Key Responsibilities
Content Scheduling & Publishing
- Schedule and publish content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, or X (Twitter).
- Maintain a consistent posting calendar based on client strategy or marketing plan.
- Ensure all posts are published on time and follow brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to align content with campaigns and promotions.
Community Engagement
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions across social media platforms.
- Respond to basic inquiries, comments, and direct messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Engage with followers by liking, replying, and participating in conversations.
- Escalate customer concerns or sensitive messages to the appropriate team.
Content Support
- Assist in creating simple graphics, captions, and post variations.
- Repurpose content across different platforms (e.g., turning long posts into short captions or reels).
- Conduct basic research on trends, hashtags, and competitor content.
- Support content brainstorming and idea generation.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track basic social media performance metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions, and follower growth.
- Prepare weekly or monthly performance reports.
- Identify top-performing content and suggest improvements.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
Brand Consistency
- Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, tone, and visual identity.
- Follow content guidelines, templates, and approved messaging.
- Maintain consistency in captions, hashtags, and posting style.
Requirements
Technical Requirements
- Laptop or desktop computer with updated operating system.
- Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps recommended).
- Backup internet connection or power source preferred.
- Access to social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Basic design tool access (Canva preferred).
